List synonymy alphabetically:

    Search failed, try again...

    • Most failed searches are the result of common misspellings.
    • Usually, those misspellings involve the endings of epithets.
    • So, try deleting a few letters from the end of the name you are searching for.
    • Or, try entering only two or three letters of the genus and species separated by a space.
    • Correctly spelled names will then appear as a list of options.

    Hints:

    • A minimum of one letter for each part of the name is required.
    • The system inserts wildcards at the end of each word.
    • If your search matches the name of a genus or species, it will also retrieve the subordinate names.
    • Rank abbreviations must end with a period (full stop).
    • For example, try searching for “bry a var. c” or “Frullania sp.”
    • This is especially helpful when you are not sure of the correct spelling.
